The show must go on… but not until it is safe to do so.

Maine’s Got Talent will not be rescheduled in 2020. It is our hope that we will again hold Maine’s Got Talent in 2021, but we will only do so if the continued path of the COVID-19 pandemic allows us to hold this very special event in a safe and responsible way.

Here are answers to our frequently asked questions and guidance for our performers, sponsors, advertisers, ticket holders, and loyal supporters of Sandcastle Clinical & Educational Services.

Why not hold the event virtually?
Maine’s Got Talent is a live talent show where contestants sing and play their hearts out as they compete for cash prizes. Each act is judged by a combined score of our panel of celebrity judges plus audience applause. The magic of this show can only materialize when we gather for the live performances. Without the in-person engagement of our audience, the show loses its sizzle.

As we said in our opening, the show must go on… when it is safe to do so. Until then, we wish you good health and wellbeing. If you have additional questions, or to specify your desired next steps, please contact Sandcastle at (207) 782-2150, or email Charlene O’Clair, Director of Finance at coclair@sandcastlemaine.org. Thank you for your continued support of Sandcastle and LA Hearing Center.

Maine’s Got Talent is a dynamic musical competition featuring 10 performing artists competing for cash prizes. 50% of the vote comes from the audience and the other 50% from celebrity judges: Tom Doucette, former MGT performer; Joe Philippon, Lewiston Police Dept.; Celeste, WBLM’s Morning Show. The host for the evening is Molly McGill of Warp + Weft.

The Maine’s Got Talent  fundraising event, is open to all performing artists who live or work in Maine, including out-of-state students attending Maine schools. Cash prizes are awarded to the top three acts the night of the event.  The prizes are as follows:  First Place:  $750.00, Second Place:  $500.00, Third Place:  $250.00. All proceeds from Maine’s Got Talent  benefit Sandcastle Clinical & Educational Services and LA Hearing Center.
