About Sandcastle Clinical & Educational Services

Sandcastle Clinical & Educational Services is a private, non-profit agency established in 1996. Sandcastle helps children reach their maximum potential. We have a dedicated, enthusiastic team that is committed to helping each child succeed to the best of his or her ability.

Our audiologist, occupational therapists, physical therapist, speech and language pathologists, psychologist and educators are experts in family-centered, child-focused care. Therapists and educators are committed to provide quality services for children with special needs and those at risk for developmental issues.

Our goal is to provide the very best care possible in a friendly and non-threatening environment. Sandcastle provides education, prevention, early identification, and therapy to 600 children a year.  Our philosophy is that every child, regardless of ability or disability, is entitled to equal access in early childhood programming.

Sandcastle’s community reputation and partnerships are strong, regularly engaging community partners such as Bates College, the University of Southern Maine Lewiston-Auburn College, Andover College, Central Maine Community College, University of Maine at Farmington and area high schools. Sandcastle offers clinical education opportunities to students enrolled in professional programs, and high school and college students interested in learning more about a specific discipline. Sandcastle is actively involved in the Androscoggin County’s United Way and Chamber of Commerce, receiving awards in recognition for services delivered to the community.
