COVID-19 Safety Policies

In-Person Appointments – New COVID-19 Safety Policies

If you are not feeling well, we ask that you please call our office and reschedule your appointment, (207) 782-2150.

What To Expect During Your Visit

When you arrive for your appointment, please enter the building through the main entrance.

Everyone entering the building must be wearing a face mask and remain wearing it throughout your entire appointment.* We ask that you please bring your own face mask with you.

*Children ages two and younger do not need to wear masks. If you have a medical condition that prohibits you from wearing a mask reasonable accommodations will be made.

While you are here, please maintain a six-foot distance between you and other people.

A member of our staff will ask you the following three screening questions upon arrival. If you answer yes to any of these questions we will need to reschedule your appointment.

  1. Are you experiencing symptoms of Coronavirus (COVID-19)?
(We will ask you to review the list in the graphic below and simply answer yes or no.)
  2. Have you been in recent contact with someone diagnosed with Coronavirus (COVID-19)?
  3. Would you like to wash your hands or use hand sanitizer?

There are two restrooms in our main hallway that may be used for handwashing. Alternatively, we will offer hand sanitizer upon your arrival.

For registration, if our front office staff is assisting another client, please wait in the hallway and maintain a six-foot distance from others. The same request is made upon check-out.

We’ve limited the number of chairs available in our reception area. Should you need assistance, please notify a member of our front office staff.

If there is no documentation required, your service provider will be right out to meet you so that we may limit the number of people gathered in our reception area.

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

While it is now our policy to wear masks while in the building and to maintain social distancing of six feet, there are challenges when delivering certain services. For example, some of our clients read lips. This is very difficult to do when others are wearing masks. For this, and other reasons you’ll see members of our staff using several types of PPE, so that we may continue to provide essential healthcare services. Our staff may be using any of the following types of PPE:

  • cloth or surgical face masks
  • face masks with a clear plastic panel to view lips
  • face shields
  • safety glasses
  • tabletop sneeze guards
  • gloves

We have implemented new cleaning protocols to maintain a safe environment. You’ll see “clean pen” holders and “dirty pen” holders. We are continuously wiping down surfaces in our common areas, including doorknobs, light switches, chairs, etc.

We have made every effort to adapt the ways in which we provide services. We welcome your feedback and ask that you share your thoughts with a member of our staff.

Thank you for your continued support.
